Where are the Classes held?

The Classes are held either in the Jubilee Room at Dormansland Memorial Hall or for smaller Classes, at my house.

What do I need to bring to the Class?

Bring your functioning sewing machine, your sewing kit and most importantly a positive attitude to the learning experience.

I am new to sewing and do not have a sewing machine or any equipment, should I go out and buy everything?

You do not need to rush out to buy. I have spare machines, scissors etc. for use in Class so you can try out equipment before deciding what might suit your needs.

I have an older sewing machine but there is a problem with the tension. Should I buy a new machine?

Most older machines are of a good quality and given some attention will function well. Please email me for more detailed advice.

Where can I buy fabric and thread?

World of Sewing in Tunbridge Wells is good for fabric and haberdashery. Jaycotts (on line) is the best place to buy patterns.
